Zanzoo Estate Weddings & Events

Zanzoo Estate is now available for weddings and events with up to 60-80 people attending.

Zanzoo is a beautiful large 6 bedroom home for a wedding party able to sleep up to 12 guests. Located on a 13 acre property near the head of the Redlynch valley, it offers privacy and a large garden with a swimming pool and a tennis court. The house is a two storey traditional timber "Queenslander" with deep verandahs surrounded by lawn, trees and paddock. One boundary is Freshwater Creek which is just a little downstream from a gorgeous stretch of the creek known as Crystal Cascades.

The 6 large bedrooms sleep 12 guests in 2 king beds, 2 queen beds and 2 more king beds which can split into 2 singles. There are 2 bathrooms (each with separate toilets) downstairs and all 3 bedrooms upstairs have an ensuite.

There are also 4 extra single beds in the sleepouts. These are available at $35 per bed per night.

We can start you off but final details will need to be discussed with the owner. For example you may want to hire a marquee and provide power to it. 

It would be best to have a walk through the property to see if it fits your requirements - the owner is happy to meet with you and show you around.

Total Amount: $7,000
(Optional) Extra nights above 3 nights: $1170 per night

Extra guests (max 4): $35 pp pn

In order to lock in your date we will require the following:

Deposit non refundable = $1000
Full payment by 90 days before = $6,000

Cancellation policy:

2 months prior = $4000 refund
1 month prior = $2000 refund

Security Bond: $1500 (additional) full refund should there be no damage to the property and its facilities.

Planning must be done in good time e.g. a client may want to hire a marquee and require power to the marquee. Siting of any temporary structures will have to be decided in advance and scheduled.

The normal terms and conditions for the property still apply as listed on our invoices and on the website with an authorised waiver for the 'NO party" policy.
Noise limitations will still stand - music or sound systems must be reduced after 10pm to avoid confrontation and disturbance for neighbouring properties.
Any children at a function must be carefully supervised around the pool area and parents are responsible for their children's water safety.
The pool gate can be locked.
There is also a creek on the property boundary that parents need to be aware of if they have small children.

The Tennis court is full size. Rackets are provided but please provide your own balls. (Damage to or loss of rackets will be charged for.)

Redlynch Valley & Crystal Cascades - enjoy the lovely shaded walks all along Freshwater Creek and down the valley. The swimming holes at Crystal Cascades are lovely and best enjoyed during the week because they can get quite busy at the weekends. You can walk right up the creek, past the cascades, to Lake Morris (Copperlode Dam). It's a steep walk so it may be a good idea to have another member of the family drive up to Lake Morris to give you a lift home. The Lake Morris turn off is on the right on Cairns Western Arterial Rd 3km from the Redlynch turn off. It's about 16km of very scenic driving through rainforest to the lake. There are BBQs and tables beside the lake. The best time is early in the morning - bring some bacon and eggs and listen to the birds.
Zanzoo has a lots of space - both indoors and out. It's easy to disappear here for an hour or two with a book or just wondering around the grounds or down the creek. When was the last time you played tennis? Now is your chance.
Although you seem to be miles from anywhere with mountains and forest all around, Cairns is only a 15 minute drive and Redlynch shopping centre is 5 minutes drive.

50% Deposit non refundable = $1000

Zanzoo has preferred caterers but you may offer the owner an alternative for consideration.
