A spacious well designed home for a large family holiday, set high on the western flank of the Redlynch Valley and close to Crystal Cascades.
This home was built for family get-togethers with 3 separate living areas giving everyone plenty of space. The main living room has high cathedral ceilings, sliding doors open out on to the wide shaded verandah at the front allowing cooling breezes to sweep through the house. No need for arguments over which channel to watch, downstairs is another TV/rumpus room with its own powder room (shower and toilet). Connect the smart TV to your Netflix account or watch a dvd from the large video library.
On the mezzanine floor above the kitchen and pool table room is a separate childrens space with bean bags, books and TV. If you feel like an early morning work out head up here and use one of the exercise bikes.
A well-equipped kitchen is the heart of any holiday home. Avalon's kitchen has ample granite benchtop space to allow for easy meal preparation, a dishwasher to take the hard work out of washing up, a pod coffee machine for those who need their daily caffeine kick-start and a large family fridge freezer. The pool table is next to the kitchen so play a game of Kelly Pool and chat to the cook!
Eat dinner outside on the verandah sitting around the 2 custom crafted timber slab tables and enjoy the light changing on the rainforest slopes across the valley.
Keep watch for 'Eddy' the echidna, the many different species of birds, bush turkeys and the occasional wallaby that come through the property.
Each of the 4 front bedrooms have sliding doors which also open on to the verandah and you can sit outside to savour your early morning cuppa at your own small table. The 5th bedroom has doors opening on to the back patio area and overlooks the pool.
The swimming pool has a large shaded shallow area safe for smaller children learning to swim, a waterfall feature and coloured lights to make night swims fun! Play table tennis, sit at the patio table to supervise or relax on the sun loungers at the end of the pool.
Lots of parking space plus a 2 car lockable garage space under the house with a clothes dryer.
Avalon is a very private property with wonderful mountain views and would be ideal for a large family group or for an executive needing more space than a hotel can provide.

April 2023 ‘Avalon’, set amongst beautiful manicured gardens, overlooking a striking green mountain on the outskirts of Cairns in the suburb of Redlynch. We spent a wonderful week with friends, relaxing by the pool, bbqing on the veranda, playing snooker, video games and lazing around the beautiful pool. There are several restaurants and a shopping centre with all you need within a few minutes drive. There is never a bad day when staying at Avalon, we highly recommend Avalon as your place to stay when visiting Cairns’.
