On Saturdays the Esplanade market runs from 8am – 5pm.

Smaller kids will love Muddies playground which is 1km north along the Esplanade from the lagoon.

It is worth a walk to the Marlin Marina behind The Shangri La Hotel. You can walk right out along the main wharf to see the boats. Some spectacular private yachts are often moored here. You can also hire a dinghy from the marina to explore the inlet.

The boardwalk continues along the waterfront past the Barrier Reef embarkation jetty, past several restaurants on the ground floor of the Harbor Lights building to the Hilton which has a popular outdoor bistro called Mondos over-looking the water.           More things to do...
