Trinity Beach Penthouse, 18/26 Moore St, Trinity Beach

Almost beachfront with a brilliant sea view from the super large 3rd floor balcony. 2 minutes to the beach - right opposite the swimming net and close to the beachfront restaurants.

This is a beautifully decorated home reflecting the owner's travels and interests. You will love it.

Being so close to the beach, the last thing you hear at night is the sound of gently lapping waves. In the morning, you will waken to the first rays of the sun reflecting off the Coral Sea and reaching into your bedroom.

The beach is just 90m away - there is a path straight through to the esplanade from the apartment building.

Breakfast on the verandah - see the Coconut Palms catch the golden glow of a sunrise over the sea. Plan your day - there is tons to do in North Queensland.

In summer its best to get going early but in the cooler months of June, July and August you can take a more leisurely approach.

There is an onsite tour desk but if you have a car you can create your own adventure. Take a tour of the Tableands - you can explore Kuranda or go further and visit some of the many beautiful waterfalls around Milla Milla.

Port Douglas and Mossman Gorge are just 1 hour north and the coast road is an amazing scenic drive. If you start early enough, you can easily cross the Daintree River and drive to Cape Tribulation and back in a day.

To the south of Cairns the great ranges of Bellenden Ker and Bartle Frere (5000') dominate the surrounding canefields and banana farms. There are marvellous natural swimming pools in many of the creeks tumbling down off these mountains.

The Babinda Boulders and Josephine Falls are a fantastic experience, especially mid-week when you may have them to yourself. If you are up for a 1 hour hike each way, mostly uphill, the swimming holes and falls at Behana Gorge are not to be missed.

Try to make time for a late afternoon walk along the Cairns Esplanade. Park near the skating rink and walk down to the boardwalk, past the lagoon and along the boardwalk beside the marina. There are restaurants along the boardwalk between the Reef Terminal and The Hilton. Mondo's, the Hilton's waterside bar also serves food and has the best waterside position in Cairns. If you get hungry or thirsty before getting this far, stop off at Villa Romana just before the Lagoon and get a takeaway pizza and have a beer while you are waiting. Pop over to the big timber slab seats that line Trinity Bay on the boardwalk and watch the colours change over Trinity Bay as night sets in. Overhead the flying foxes will be milling and filling the sky as they set out on their nightly foraging expedition. The Esplanade is the heart of Cairns. It's where the locals gather to watch the world go by, to use one of the many BBQs while their kids swim in the Lagoon (swimming until 9pm) or listen to the buskers. It's part of Cairns life.  Cairns does not have a beach but the mudflats are spectacular - especially at dawn and dusk. The mudflats are renowned for their bird life. Dozens of small wading birds feeding in the pools left by low tideor flying low over the water in small flocks. There is often a  stately flotilla of Pelicans in front of the boardwalk.

The Penthouse at Trinity Beach is not just another apartment. It is the home of the owner and the things she has collected on her travels. Staying at Trinity Beach Penthouse is an experience of another person's life.
