Mornington House, 5 Mornington St, Kewarra Beach

A well-kept house with loads of room less than 5 minutes walk to the beach. Great for a family with children - there are 2 indoor living areas separated by the central kitchen. Outside, a sparkling blue pool and a large covered sitting area with BBQ.

The friendly owner, Wendy, lives next door - you will find her incredibly helpful. This is the house for a family with children and a dog. The garden and pool area are safely fenced and your dog can be left secure if you go out. The beach is dog friendly too, so bring him along too for an early morning or late afternoon beach walk.

The beach has a swimming net for the summer season and a lifeguard. Take a picnic down to the beach in the evening and use the BBQs under the big paperbark trees. The view from here is fantastic - Palm Cove, Buchan Point to the north, Double Island just offshore and Taylor Point to the south.

Walk to Palm Cove for breakfast one morning or, at low tide, walk around to Taylor Point and look back at the sweep of the bay. Further on and round the point the path leads to an enormous granite boulder with a view across Trinity Bay to Cape Grafton.

The only bond required is if you are bringing a dog (max 2). The bond of $200 will be taken in cash upon arrival and returned in cash upon departure, providing there is no damage.
