You will find people playing Boule, walking their dogs, jogging, picnicing at the many free bbqs, playing beach volley ball or just strolling along to enjoy the sunset. At the weekends there is a very good market near the Lagoon. Past the Lagoon, the path passes under the magnificent fig avenue, past the Cairns Yacht club and The Salt House ( a very popular waterfront bar and restaurant) and then along the waterfront boardwalk where the yachts and reef cruise boats tie up. Further long is the best waterfront bistro at Mondos and beyond that the wharf and Cruise Terminal. At some time during your stay, you should walk the whole way.
